But wouldn't they be concerned about the ex-wife's supposed spousal interest which she supposedly retained after executing the quitclaim deed (because the divorce was not yet final), as opposed to a spousal interest owned by the son (which, as you pointed out, would have passed to the other joint tenants upon his death)?
