You have to eat the Portuguese donuts, malasadas filled with coconut. They have a couple of food trucks called malasadas truck.
Also, we drove to Hilo and there is an awesome black sand beach about an hour south where you can see tons of turtles.
Good poke place in Kona but I can’t remember the name, but it was on diners drive ins and dives.
We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Kings land.
And you need to rent a car practically everywhere. I like the Waikoloa area, there’s a grocery store at Waikoloa Village we would go every morning that had fresh passion fruit cinnamon rolls at the bakery that were amaze balls.
