"Better focus". That's completely fabricated.
And I think the front-loaded schedule thing is overhyped. We're healthier at the beginning of the year, so shouldnt we schedule our biggest games when we're healthy? And yes, we supposedly get better as the season goes on, but so do other teams. You're playing on a level playing field. And maybe you can catch a #6 team in the nation off guard and get a major upset win.

If we actually want a chance at a NY6 bowl if we were in the MWC, we'd need to frontload our schedule anyway, otherwise our schedule would be full of sub-par MWC teams. Honestly, an ideal MWC schedule would look just like this year's. Schedule a couple juggernauts, so we at least have an opportunity to score an upset. Schedule a few mid-level P5's which are winnable games for BYU and they bolster our SoS. Schedule BSU in the latter part of the schedule. Then schedule Utah as the last game of the season. This year's schedule was ideal IMO.
