Gives BYU advantages but I do wonder if the average age of those on the field are older for BYU than most if not all teams.
Basically take out most of the underclass man unless they are in the two deep and what do you have?
Still silly to think it’s helped us over all these years. If anything the mission helps balance out the physical limitations or regression after a mission but that hardly gives BYU a leg up.
How about discussing educational requirements to play college ball? Does a kid the goes to most SEC schools carry on average the same level of actual classes that a kid at BYU has to balance between school and athletics? I’ve listened to enough lineman coming out of BYU and Georgia or Alabama that there seems to be a huge disparity of education on average between the schools.
