The remaining "average" age of their 110 man roster (85 other players besides the 25 freshman) would have to be 24.3 years old (that's 5-6 years out of high school), in order to be able to have an average age of 23 years. In order to get up to the ASU number, you'd have to have an average age of over 26 (that's how old taysom was).
So by not even accounting for the large amounts of sophomores, redshirt freshman, redshirt sophomore and true juniors that are all 22 or under with rare exceptions, you'd have to have like 20 seniors that were in their 30s to make the math work.
I actually didn't notice the link when I first responded, so I was thinking you did the math, but it's clear there's an error in CBS' data. Someone didn't check their math.
