Right now, cap space is at a premium. The Jazz could trade Sefolosha, Jerebko and Udoh today and the receiving team could have an immediate $12M in cap space if they waived each of those players 2nd year options. They could throw Burks in the mix and have another 11 at the end of next season. Add in a draft pick or perhaps a young inexpensive contract like Royce O'Neale or a cap friendly contract like Jae Crowder ($7M for two more years) and those become good assets for a team in need of cap space.
For example, if you are the Clippers and you want to make a play for Paul George, you need some cap space. What if they offer up Danilo Galinari or Tobias Harris for some combination of the above? That would make a lot of sense for the Jazz.
