AFC Championship game.....not some meaningless preseason game. Tom Brady took it upon himself to increase the likelihood of a win. Rainy conditions. Two physics professors, on ESPN explained Brady's advantages with a deflated ball. Basically it helps increase his grip on the ball and therefore helps throw a tighter spiral. Brady has never been accused as having a strong arm. Perhaps Brady has small hands. Since Brady increases his advantage by altering the football....the other QBs chances of winning are diminished. If it was not an advantage for Brady, why did he instruct the ball boys to deflate the balls? If it was not wrong, why did Brady take a hammer, smash his cell phone and destroy the evidence? If it was not wrong, why did the NFL punish Brady? Are you serious? Trying to argue that deflating the balls doesn't give Brady an edge, is just being a homer. Why would a premadonna qb take the time and trouble to deflate footballs? For the same reason someone takes performance enhancing drugs. Its an act that increases there performance on the field and puts a competitor at a disadvantage. It is supposed to be the NFL. The National Football League.....not there National Fixed League. Regulations are in place to protect the integrity of the game. Despite the fact that Tom Brady, the New England Patriots and their fans think otherwise.
