My family frequents Texas Roadhouse. We have been going there for years, and enjoying their cactus blossoms and rolls.
This time however was different. I took out my family and another family. The food was great as usual, but when the check finally came, I was informed that they would not accept my check. I was incensed. My wife and I don't believe in electronic forms of payment, and we don't carry cash. My friends offered to pay, but I simply told them no. After arguing with the waitress, then her manager, I set out for home to see if I could find some cash. My bank was closed, so I couldn't withdraw from them.
After an hour with my friends and family waiting for me, I finally returned with cash we had hidden for emergency funds.
I won't be returning to Texas Roadhouse. They have lost my business. If they can't accept a man with traditional views on budgeting, then I won't accept them.
