Last year is a good case study in this WMU got in only after the MWC/AAC champs
had 2 or 3 losses each, I believe (citing this from memory).
If you consolidated the best MWC teams into the AAC I don't think you'd have to worry about a 2-3 loss AAC team getting jumped by a MAC or Sun Belt school. It obviously could happen, but I think 75%+ of the time the AAC would get the autobid.
