...Ute DB's like Bryce McCain grabbed and held a much slower Austin Collie like crazy. McCain ran a 4.3 forty (some utes claim it was sub 4.3) and Collie was a 4.6 and yet he tied McCain up in knots and all McCain could do was grab him and hold on for dear life. That's just how they're taught to play defense.
Remember back in the 80's and 90's other teams BYU played used to complain like crazy that our OL's held all the time and got away with it? That was a BYU thing that refs sort of adjusted to and let happen. For Utah it's DB holding and interference. That's how they play in general and refs just seem to have adjusted to it and let them get away with it.
BYU WR's just need to learn how to make one handed catches because they have to know when they play Utah that the other hand will be pulled down and tied up by the DB.
