owning music I enjoy" part. That's just not in me. I don't really collect anything and I have no real need to "own" it.

Case in point - Converge released a new single today. My initial gut reaction was, "cool, I should buy the record." But then the rest of my brain kicked in and said, "why would you waste money on that? you already pay for spotify and you can hear the songs any time you want, anywhere?" So I won't be buying it.

But I totally get that some people like to own stuff/collect stuff. And if you're into that sort of thing, records are a great thing to buy.
