The fact is that Exum, Burk, and Hood are all below average NBA players from an offensive efficiency standpoint and no matter who they play with aren't consistently good enough. So when they're playing more minutes the team will struggle more. They're just not very good NBA players. In the case of Hood it's an consistency issue influenced by health as he has some good nights. The coaches have given Exum plenty of chances and he just isn't currently good to contribute to a playoff caliber team.
Ingles in the other hand is quite efficient as is Hayward, and Gobert is one of the most efficient players in the league. Anyone playing with those 3 or even 2 of the 3 on the court would look better since not only are they efficient but they also pass and defend well.
