You had me until the 4.0 high act comment. You realize BYU is not at all hard to get into? The new student acceptance rate is over 50%. That is no where close to elite. I have not done any resurch but that is probably one of the highest acceptance rates for a private university. In fact it is barely more prestigious than the overall acceptance rate for the entire US of 64 percent.
