Please folks, for your own sake, understand that the Big 12 does NOT want BYU in
any way, shape, or form. I'm not going to open the can of worms as to why.

But even when they had to expand, as in expand or die, they took TCU and West Virginia.

Even when the data states that 12 team with an 8 game conference schedule plus a league championship game is the model with the best probability of annual inclusion in the CFP, they are still saying no thanks.

Even when the individual team data crunching screams that BYU is the best available option, they still bemoan "competitive dilution."

Even though BYU has been available since 2010, discussions have never progressed far enough to include the TV situation.

Even though BYU has been active behind the scenes doing what they can to elicit consideration, the only response is thanks for keeping things private.

Folks, we don't need another day on CB like the early October morning when TCU was invited. Nothing more is going to happen on July 19th other than a statement indicating how united they are and how excited they are to experience their round robin plus championship game model.

BYU is going to be independent in football for the long term. Best get on board with it.
