I have 5 kids, all fairly close together, so I have 4 529 accounts, as I figure 4 will be in college at the same time at the most.
My deal is that, I will pay tuition for BYU cost, so if they want to go elsewhere, they only get what the BYU amount is towards their tuition, so I have been working on putting the full 4 year amount of tuition in for all 5 kids, I am a little over halfway funded at that amount, and child #1 is already using the 529. If the plan works out, I should fund the last child just in time for a final year and will be re-using child #1 529 account for #5, if a few of the girls will go on missions it would help give me a couple more years to catch up when I didn't contribute due to economic set backs during the last recession.
