I watched Apo play high school ball live and at BYU camp action, then when he got to BYU. The Teo's (Manti @ Shiloah) used to talk about how tentative Apo could be when really challenged by some 'on par' talent on the defensive side (as in fighting for the ball in tight action).
I think Ross has great skills and body type for a WR, but when challenged for a ball where acute contact is inevitable, I have not seen the toughness to get the 'harder receptions' (think Hoffman, Collie and Cahoon toughness).
I hope to see it from him this year, but since it has not really evidenced itself yet (hard contact receptions), I'm not sure it will happen. Hope I'm wrong for Ross' sake and the teams sake.
