It basically worked for me because I went from eating a hamburger and fries every lunch to a 200 calorie protein shake. I also eat one for breakfast because I like the taste and crave them for breakfast. I actually lost the weight within 4-6 months but have plateaued because I don't eat them as religiously because I am training for a marathon so I am burning a lot of calories and enjoy eating crap foods.
I went from 206-208 to 180. This morning I weighed 181.2.
So does it work? Honestly, I think it depends on your current eating habits. I think if you were willing to cut some of your meals and replace them with a 200 calorie protein shake you would get the same results.
