I watched Hook last night to pay homage to one of my favorite movies as a child.
The movie is still really enjoyable, but I think they catered too much to the younger audience. Especially when it came to the start of the war with the pirates and Hook. More cheesy than it needed to be, but not horrible. The first half of the movie in London is amazing! The Neverland scenes seemed to be scattered all over the place. One second Peter Pan is having Mermaids breathe air in his mouth, the next scene he is somehow in the tree house. The scattered scenes is surprising for a Spielberg film. Dustin Hoffman was ridiculously good in that film. There will be a lot of Peter Pan remakes over the years, including one that is coming out in 2015 iirc, but I doubt anyone will touch Hoffman's Captain Hook.

Anyways, my trip back into 10 year old nostalgia was still pretty enjoyable. That should be an enjoyable show for my kids to watch.
