Least painful way to get a short term $10K loan?
We need to buy a car and a sell a car in the same general timeframe. It looks like we might buy a car first, and need about $10K until we sell our other car.
So we'd take a $10K loan, and then repay it in about 3 weeks.

Just get a loan from a credit union using your car as collateral

Give me a lien on your house and $1000 and I'll do it.

Least painful in terms of $ or time and effort spent? Easiest is just to get

If he pays it off in a month, he'll pay a few bucks in interest is all

Go to a credit union and get a loan. Rates are pretty low -- like 3.75% I think.

You can do much better than 3.75.

Yep. Meant 2.75% I got 2.35% in October.

I don't think the rate matters so much on a 3 week loan

True, but with money that cheap he may decide to stretch it a little longer.

Are you in a work situation where they'd give you that money as an advance?

Wow. That's a great rate. Do they have penalties for paying it off early?

No.

I just got 1.65% on my used car. 1.99% was the rate for 72 month loans
