Personally, I was not deeply offended or even slightly offended by your language. Too many of us use similar language and because we are not in the public eye it is rarely anything anyone else notices, so hence we feel no need to change. Athletes are in the public eye and with the religious nature of this rivalry it often annoys me how fans from either side will seek to label somebody a hypocrite because they do not want to like them. Fans are the issue here and methinks their attitudes and judgements is the real concern.

In total honesty the BYU fans who make fun of you could probably never hold your jock in any arena in this world. Your humility to their degrading comments about your character, which you made in an intense moment of brotherhood that most fans will never understand, proves that you have enormous class and character. I liked you at the U, and I will always be a fan of you.

It is hard to have high standards in the public eye. It amazes me that even those who support your standards would mock you and pull you down like crabs to satisfy their need to dislike you.
