It's not that you can't criticize
It's that much of the criticism is ignorant, without substantial basis, and makes little sense.

For instance, a lot of this discussion was launched by your criticism of the Mendenhall and Bradford hires. Your criticism appears to be that Crowton hired these guys based solely on his friendship with them, that they were not the best qualified for the job, and that the majority of BYU fans questioned the hires. You twisted the meanings of quotes by Crowton in order to support your ill-conceived criticism.

In other words, my opinion (and the opinion expressed by a number of others) is that your criticism made no sense because it was not based in reality.

I think you can't accurately judge a college football coach until the program consists entirely of players he has recruited. I like what I've seen of Crowton's recruiting. I was very disappointed with last season, but I'm not going to pull unfounded criticism out of my butt and say Crowton is a poor coach, because I don't want to look like I don't know what I'm talking about if things turn around this season. I am cautiously optimistic about this season, and while Crowton had a down year last year, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

The grass is not always greener on the other side. Are you one of those people always calling for the backup quarterback, no matter who it is or how good he is?
