3rd String
Hall benefitted from Popes high ball screens and overall team movement. And
Pope didn’t really have any other choice.
Egor and Catchings should start in our backcourt and play a ton of minutes.

There were games last year he was our best player. This year there are times

I think the injury really rusted him up. Does not look like last year’s Hall yet

Jan 7, 10:54pm
He has no feel for the game this year.

yeah last year he was our primary ball handler/facilitator and he rose to the

Last year he had too many turnovers

You are thinking of Spencer Johnson. He was picked from behind a lot

No. That rarely happened to Dallin and he had an insane AST/TO ratio to end the

Last 3 games he’s had 2 total shot attempts inside the arc!!! 3 games, 2 shot
gocougs719
Jan 7, 11:00pm
Which is why he had 1 assist. He picks up his dribble 30’ from the hoop.

That stat doesn’t tell the whole story

He doesn't finish well, at least not this year.
Archaea
Jan 8, 12:34pm
Go find 3 total clips this year of him beating his man, scoring or assisting...

#2 is true, even my wife has noticed. He is slow bringing the ball down

76.5% from the free throw line needs to be better

Jan 8, 11:52am
He was 63% last year. This year he's 76% but hasn't shot much.

I'd take Hall over Baker every time. Baker shouldn't be getting minutes.

Baker seems like he should not play much. Really bad at D and effort.

Jan 7, 11:53pm
Baker can create his own shot; a skill this team lacks
Parker Schnabel

He also can dribble and lose the ball, and he is a free lane to the hoop on a

I wish I could argue...but I can't. Unfortunately, we have a lot of guys who

Ohh disagree, Baker can create and shoot. Hasn’t gotten the minutes to flow

Career averages against terrible teams. He's not a big 12 guy.

Jan 8, 2:03am
You do realize Baker is averaging more ppg in fewer minutes than Hall this yr?

Go back and watch the game last night
gocougs719
Jan 8, 9:34am
Agreed. Both by the numbers and the eye test, Baker has been more productive.

Jan 8, 9:39am
I don’t think you’ve seen a large enough sample size

Hall has the ability and has proven it last year. He got off to a slow start

I'd take Baker over Hall

As complementary scorer/playmaker to Egor? Yes. As backup PG? No. That's Hall's.

Last year he was key because of his intangibles: 1. Toughness 2. D 3. Clutch 4.

Jan 7, 11:52pm
He’s had two layups attempts in B12 play (3 games).giving nothing at basket
gocougs719
Jan 8, 12:00am
Well, he's not a real dangerous man at it. Not wise to risk it too often.

What I see is a kid who’s always dominated the ball having a hard time adjusting

Jan 8, 12:03am
I think it’s not so simple
gocougs719
Jan 8, 12:07am
I agree, it’s not simple at all and I do think he’s mentally wrecked
palangi
Jan 8, 12:21am
I think wrecked is way too strong a word. He's thinking too much.
SinkingQuffa
Jan 8, 5:17am
He needs his role defined better.

He's less sure of his role & the offense than he was last season.

He was pretty bad last night. Looked completely lost.

Hall's more versatile than you're giving him credit for. He'll adjust.

I hope he does because I like Hall a lot but we’re in 2nd week of January.

He's not the only one struggling with his role — not by a long shot.
