No. Lots of bets aren’t near 50/50 odds. Even the ones that in theory are, like O/U and games against the spread
Have a built in VIG that is a few that goes to the hook and guarantees that if you are hitting 50% that you are losing money. For example, todays Cowboys-Eagles game is Eagles -7.5, but that is paying out at -108, not at even odds.
