I would guess a HS track would facilitate your fastest time. And yes that is a very lofty goal.

That’s lofty, but it sounds like you might be up for it. At 50, I feel pretty good about myself to hit 6:30.

5:53. But that was mid-run on a longer run and without any specific training for a fast mile.
