In fairness, Luke was a whiner with a lot of off screen training.
However, I wish he wasn't completely changed as a character from Episode Six to Episode Eight.
I don't mind the Mary Sue as much. It's Star Wars. Luke was a Mary Sue. But don't emasculate him for all of the people that have been Luke fans since they were kids.
