early season doesn't appear a real good indicator of the eventual quality of the team. I just hope fans are ready for a bit of a learning curve as this new staff works out some of the kinks.

As for defense, I think BYU has the length and athleticism to be good, I wonder about if they have the physicality to do it in a Big12 schedule. I think last year's team really struggled with that. You add into the fact that this team is younger and not as developed and there are some real concerns.

I hope fans can really temper expectations.
