Don’t discredit though the affect that having players drafted plays on future recruiting. There’s a reason why for years the best d-lineman in the state have gone to Utah.
There’s a reason why the Smith Snowdens and other legacy recruits have chosen to play secondary at Utah.
Recruits definitely look at which programs put guys in the league. They also look at who has a need at their position to gauge playing time.
Etienne coming back would be great for next year’s team. It will come at the expense though of a guy like Jatta.
If BYU can put Etienne in the league and produce another draft pick in Jatta, you want Etienne to go.
Jatta has shown he has ability and is ready to play right now.
BYU is building a very solid reputation for putting tackles into the league. I’m confident in their ability to bring the next man up and keep it rolling.
Who’s to say BYU can’t win without Etienne?
