utes can have the ones on their way down. Or the ones they themselves have ran into the ground (ie every QB that has entered their system).

I say this about hiring all the time too. When I look at a resume and see promotions, even if they're a level below the job for which they're interviewing, I love it. It shows someone else sees them as rising, probably because of the raw skills they have.

When I see someone currently employed in the same job for which they're applying, even though our recruiting department thinks they must be the second coming because of all that experience, I mostly pan them and explain that I don't want to take someone else's failed experiment.

That said, I know Etienne breaks that mold. Every once in a while you can tell there was a good person in a bad situation.
