I want the CFP committee to pick who they think are the best 12 teams. I don’t
think Indiana, SMU, or BSU meet that criteria.
No opposing coach is thinking “Man, I wish we were matched up against Bama instead of BSU this week.”
The CFP ranking system is good but has too many rules that back the committee into a corner. Just pick the best 12 teams regardless of conference, or loss in a CCG, etc.
To do so, SOS needs to be emphasized more in the rankings. Florida is 6-6 and imo a better team than 1/3 of the CFP teams who made it.
If the best 12 teams are in the SEC and beat up on each other, then pick those 12.
