Here's a comparison between Jeanty and Sanders after Jeanty's and Sander's regular seasons

There's still a 1 game benefit that Jeanty has, but a good point to start the comparison:

Sanders 1988: 11 games, 344 carries, 2628 yards, 7.6 YPA, 37 tds

Jeanty 2024: 12 games, 344 carries, 2497 yards, 7.3 YPA, 29 tds

So, as of the end of the regular season, both Jeanty and Sanders had exactly 344 carries in their season. Jeanty played 1 more game, had a slightly lower YPA and 8 less tds. Jeanty may very well break the single season rushing record, but only because he has the luxury of at least 3 extra games relative to Sanders (1 extra regular season, 1 CCG and at least 1 CFP game).
