South side of Maui for beaches, north or south shores of Kauai for beaches, Oahu
anywhere but north shore for beaches

I've only been to Oahu and Maui, and this is the opposite of what I would have said. For Oahu, North Shore is best. For Maui, our favorite beaches were slaughterhouse and the Kaanapali beaches, which are north side of Maui.
