Any parents of Epileptic kids that want to dole out there advice and tips to feel safe letting your kid live their life?
So much to learn. First seizure was a year ago. Grand Mal that lasted a few minutes and a second one a few hours later that lasted several minutes but she stopped breathing. We got her on a low dose of Keppra and we aren't aware of any additional seizures through the year. So for all intents and puporses it was idiopathic epilepsy and we weren't worries about it continuing.

That all changed on Friday when she had another Grand Mal that lasted for more than 6 minutes. No stopping in her breathing this time.

But now I am worried. What if she's been having some all along and we weren't aware because she wasn't in a public place. If it hits while she's sleeping we may completely miss it... though there have been nights our dogs were up and active without us knowing why. Now I wonder if we've missed some.

So any good monitoring solutions that you use? What have you done has parents to be confident in helping your kid live their life without restraint?
