Maybe. But I got flipped off on my mission. Should I have stayed home?
People push back and belittle my faith everywhere. To me, that’s not a reason to stay home and be quiet.
I’d argue that BYU is a special place where you faith and intellect can grow more than anywhere else. But I’d not use fear and bigotry as my reason to avoid opportunities because it’s a trap. There are good and kind people everywhere
