I never thought that a license plate camera/reader could be illegal
I thought that anything that is out in public view is fair game.
Unfortunately for HOA use I could see some Karen going crazy over-the-top with license plate data.

Yes. I also know some that put up cameras at entrances for the same reason.

Our HOA just bought Flock cameras. At every entrance there are 2 cameras to capture
