Sure he could have taken a knee or ran backwards. Those are about as relevant
As “he could have slid earlier.” He has the right to slide whenever he wants and as long as there’s time for a defender to adjust he has the right not to get hit. Defender has obligation to avoid sliding player; QB has no obligation to slide earlier than Lawrence did, notwithstanding your efforts to make up such an obligation

It’s not that hard to understand and it’s concerning that you are totally accepting of a purposeful illegal hit to a defenseless player’s head just because…the QB had the audacity to run?
