Which we know is false. China is working on theirs. The US has been slow on hypersonics but not asleep on hypersonics. Unfortunately the existence of many weapons programs is classified and their capabilities are classified. What exactly the US has in its arsenal may not be fully known. Russia is tipping its hand in the conflict with Ukraine.
