But this is where the common sense part of the spirit of the law should come into play. There was no legitimate attempt. He didn’t evade the pocket. Ref already said it was grounding (allegedly).

I’m not sure how this is even an argument for some folks.

But you’re 100% accurate. NCAA needs to be more prescriptive just like the NFL is.
