Quite common for people to stay with employers when others think it a poor choice. Jay Hill turned down a long list of offers, many very publicly, before taking the BYU DC job. Jay Hill staying at Weber had nothing to do with low interest or poor performance.
Seems that 2 ten win seasons, multiple RBs, QBs, OLs, WRs... in the NFL and a likely 3rd 10 win season in 5 years (only 2nd time in almost 4 decades for BYU) would be an indication there are not major flaws in the O. 3rd down conversion is clearly low, but 4th down conversion is mind blowingly high (3rd and 4th down conversions are intentionally linked by the team as referenced in repeated public statements). 1st downs have rarely been an issue for the team. I prefer 1st down conversions to 3rd down conversions. Lots of conversions on 1st and 2nd during the 9 game win streak.
