I have not seen it in Utah recerntly
But I haven't seen many people actually call black people the N word in a long time, either, and yet it persists within black culture. So it's not really about recency.

I actually think it's less about the actual word being used against polys, anyway, though it may be true that it has been used in that way before. It's more about popular culture and polys identifying as minorities and identifying with black culture.
