I do officiating (not football) at a fairly high level. Coaches, players and fans disagreeing with a call just comes with the territory and I don’t take it personally. It’s the insinuation that there was some underlying nefarious reason behind a certain call that completely crosses the line. Had Harlan just gone off and said that was a BS call and the officials were terrible, that’s one thing, that’s his opinion. Instead he suggested that they made the call specifically to affect the game. That’s not how officials at that level see anything, they’re just trying to keep the game fair.
