Raider Damuni was eyeing 6. He wanted his pick-6. Jay Hill had called
the pick defense, but Damuni was wishing it was the pick-6 defense.

That 3rd and long completion just after the KOR touchdown should have been picked. Jay Hill said they got exactly what they wanted, which was to bait Rose into that exact throw. And sure enough, Damuni was perfectly placed to calmly make the interception. Only Damuni wanted more than just an interception, he wanted to house it. So rather than running back with Singer to merely step in front and make the pick, he tried to high point it with momentum toward the end zone.

If he gets that pick in that moment, it goes without saying it's a completely different ball game. We get at least another FG to go up 13-7, possibly 17-7, and now Rose is scared and hesitant to throw over the middle.

Lesson of the day: Don't get greedy, fellas. When your coach places you in perfect position to make a big play, make that big play. Trust your teammates to do the rest.
