and not Boise's. Here's why. BYU is the top Big 12 team now. If for any reason carnage plays out over the next 4 weeks and it could, the Big 12 could find itself completely out. It's not likely, but possible that an undefeated Army and a 1 loss Boise are ranked higher than our conference champion. Obviously Army would have to upset ND for that to happen but it's the only scenario that you could have no Big 12 teams in. Being that BYU is only at 9 and then a gap down to ISU, it's possible that if all the ranked B12 teams lose another that a conference champ Army gets in at 5 and the Big 12 doesn't get in at all
We obviously don't want Boise grabbing the 4 seed, but also don't want Army grabbing that 5th auto spot either in that scenario
