We took our last at home to Kauai 2 years ago while her brother was on his mission. There was this feeling that somehow he and his older brothers missed out because we never did a Hawaii trip with them. Simply put, we all get different opportunities. One of our sons did 2 study abroads. My other son took his wife to Italy while they were students at BYU. Those are things that we never did with our family when we had everybody in the house. What we emphasized was that there will be opportunities and you just take them as the come. Our one son that missed out on the Kauai trip is at BYU and filling out his paperwork to do a European study abroad.
