Maybe part of the consternation is NIL backers and sponsors may not have believed in him as coach so we couldn't recruit
better and the NIL funds weren't gonna flow. He was a decent ambassador and personality, but he never produced even one NCAA Tourney win nor a WCC conference championship. Gonzaga was a gorilla, but maybe we'd have had better athletes to compete..
