I think forgiveness plays into passing judgment on whether he is a good guy.
Your perception of someone's value and forgiving that individual are not completely separate.
Casting stones and judging a strangers perceived goodness or "righteousness" seems a weird past time. Probably best for our fanbase to just let go of stuff like this. Turn the other cheek and what not.
