One of my professors knew Kearl and said, “Yeah, he’s amazing at tort and anything involving economics and law. Let me tell you where he was right about trade and where he was very very wrong.”
A lot of it had to do with the difference between trade theory vs trade in the real world. How the WTO is next to useless at enforcement, issues with patent infringement, national security issues.
I would have loved to see those guys face off in a debate. Too bad it won’t happen.
