I agree it's not the norm, and the Utah coaching staff has generally avoided it, but he went 25 for 182 against Oklahoma St and 21 for 129 (plus 5 catches for 61 yards) against Arizona St.
That said, his last two games are the fewest carries he's had (13 carries against TCU, 14 against Houston) and the least effective he's been (4.2 ypc and 3.6 ypc, every other games has been 6 or 7 ypc).
I think there's a real chance that he's wearing down, not so much in the course of the game, but over the course of the season. In his first 6 games (prior to those two bad ones), he'd already carried the ball as much in 6 2024 games as he did in his previous career high season (14 games in 2022)
