interpretation of the term "next-best" in the two-way tiebreaker. Some people are arguing that "next-best" means "next-worse common opponent", rather than "best common opponent". That is the crux of the disagreement.

I believe there is very little chance that the Big 12 applies the "next-worse" interpretation rather than the "best common opponent" interpretation.
