The fact that we are having this convo proves that fan bets make a difference
and prove there are discrepancies in the line!
Think of it as the meme stock period. When the professional investors couldn’t keep the line accurate for the price of GameStop? Same concept with BYU non-bettors although not as extreme!!
Eventually, betting lines will normalize as notoriety gets out, professional bettors get involved etc., but to argue there’s never any discrepancy or inaccurate lines is inaccurate, just as GameStop normalized from the craziness w/ time.
