Wrong. I honestly don’t mean that as a dis, but it just doesn’t seem like you’ve ever been coached in football or been around coaching.

I promise you there isn’t a single coach that thinks he made the wrong decision or even secretly wishes he would have tried to scoop it up. So many things that could go wrong especially when momentum is taking you one way and the ball is moving the other way. The difference between trying to scoop and score vs. falling on the ball in that situation is hero ball vs team football. It’s one thing when the ball bounces right in front of you when you’re already running toward the end zone like with in the Kansas State game, but with the momentum, etc. he 100% made he right call.
